The Council of Europe Publishing site presents the full catalogue of paid-for publications produced by the Organisation over the last 10 years, a total of over 1,200 books and electronic publications (CD-ROMs, PDF files, videos etc.).  The works published by the Council of Europe include comparative studies, monographs, topical debates, proceedings of colloquies, international legal instruments, official texts etc.

Council of Europe Publishing produces works in all the Organisation's spheres of reference, including human rights, legal science (constitutional law, criminal law, family law, labour law etc.), health, ethics, social affairs, environment, education, culture, sport, youth and architectural heritage.

Every book or electronic publication may be ordered direct, on-line, via this site.  A virtual reading room enables you to consult excerpts from the main works just published or the full texts of certain official documents such as conventions, at no cost.  By subscribing to our mailing list, you can receive regular e-mails, free of charge, informing you of news, forthcoming publications or book launches.

Our books are published either in one of the official languages of the Council of Europe (English and French) or in a bilingual edition.  Most of them are also translated into other European or non-European languages by our partner publishers.
