The Council of Europe will participate in the 2018 edition of the Brussels Book Fair, which will be held from 22 to 25 February this year (Tour & Taxis). This fair is a major cultural event since more than 40 years, welcoming more than 70.000 visitors every year.

In addition to its activities and its most recent publications, the Council of Europe will propose to a young school audience a quiz on the Organisation that will allow them to win a poster "Human rights according to Le Cat".

Finally, the Council of Europe organises on Friday 23 February from 4 to 5 pm on the “Place de l’Europe” (Hall 2 of the Fair) a meeting debate on hate speech and freedom of expression will be organised at the “Europe place” with Françoise Tulkens, former Vice-President of the European Court of Human Rights, Manu Mainil, co-ordinator of the No Hate Speech Movement, Renate Schroeder, director of the European Federation of Journalist’s (EFJ), and Jean-Paul Marthoz, professor and journalist at Le Soir
