World Book and Copyright Day
The World Book and Copyright Day has been celebrated every 23 April since 1995. Organised by UNESCO, it is a global tribute to books and authors and promotes access to books for as many people as possible. In these times of pandemics and confinement, books are more than ever powerful tools to combat isolation, strengthen connections between people, broaden our horizons and stimulate our minds and creativity. Through reading and the celebration of World Book and Copyright Day on 23 April, we can reach out to others despite distance, and we can travel through imagination.
