Le kit de formation LEA (Langue et Education Au plurilinguisme) comprend un groupe d'instruments pratiques conçus pour aider les formateurs d'enseignants à présenter les aspects essentiels du plurilinguisme et du pluriculturalisme aux enseignants et aux apprenants en langues. Il consiste en une brochure imprimée exposant les fondements d'une série activités de formation disponibles sur un CD-Rom d'accompagnement.Le kit encourage les enseignants en langues à réfléchir à la notion de diversité, qui est un élément fondamental du processus d'éducation linguistique et communicative -le «dialogue avec l'autre». Son but ultime est de contribuer à la création d'une école capable d'offrir des perspectives locales et mondiales au sein du curriculum linguistique et des occasions de communiquer avec des personnes et des cultures du bout du monde ou de la porte d'à côté et de promouvoir la capacité de parler des langues ayant différents statuts et différentes fonctions.Les experts de l'équipe de coordination et toutes les personnes ayant participé au projet LEA organisé dans le cadre des activités du CELV entre 2004 et 2007 espèrent que cette publication aidera à sensibiliser les formateurs à la nécessité de construire des sociétés plus justes et plus démocratiques et de favoriser les concepts de respect mutuel et de promotion de la diversité linguistique et culturelle en tant que principes de base de la formation des enseignants en langues.
