The aim of this seminar was to reflect on the way in which communication can be used for biodiversity conservation. The first part of the publication studies key elements in the communication process and attempts to identify the main problems posed by a complex subject little known by the general public. Solutions are proposed with a view to the construction of a communication strategy adapted to the proposed objectives and to available means. The second part gives an overall view of the place of communication and information in international and national biodiversity strategies.
