Auf dem Weg zu einer neuen Kinomitteilung
Als Hüterin der EU-Verträge und Anwältin des Allgemeinwohls ist die Europäische Kommission verpflichtet zu prüfen, ob die einzelstaatlichen Förderprogramme für Film- und audiovisuelle Werke mit dem EU-Recht in Einklang stehen. 2011 hatte die Kommission eine öffentliche Anhörung mit dem Ziel gestartet, ihre zehn Jahre alten Rechtsvorschriften den aktuellen Marktentwicklungen anzupassen. Dieser Leitbeitrag gibt den aktuellen Stand der bis heute andauernden Diskussionen wieder und zeichnet die Geschichte dieser Rechtsvorschriften nach.
