In this report, the Committee of Independent Experts set up a detailed analysis on national reports of Contracting Parties of the European Social Charter on non-accepted provisions of the Charter in order to bring light the factors which hinder the acceptance of those standards and to contribute to encouraging new acceptances of the provisions considered.
This third report concerns the current law and practice in the field covered by Article 2 para.1 (reasonable daily and weekly working hours) in Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Sweden and United Kingdom, by Article 7 para.5 (right of young workers and apprentices to a fair wage or other appropriate allowances) in Cyprus, Denmark, Iceland and Sweden, by Article 7 para.6 (inclusion of the time spent in vocational training as part of the normal working day) in Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Iceland and Sweden, as well as by Article 7 para.7 (minimum of three weeks annual holiday with pay for young workers) in Denmark, Ireland, Iceland and United Kingdom.
