Le projet intergouvernemental quadriennal du Conseil de l'Europe Histoires partagées pour une Europe sans clivages a été achevé en 2014. Il portait sur trois principaux sujets de préoccupation:
• faire prendre conscience du patrimoine historique commun aux Etats membres,
• contribuer, par une meilleure connaissance des interactions et convergences historiques de toute nature, à la prévention des conflits et au soutien aux processus de réconciliation,
• mettre en œuvre les recommandations du Comité des Ministres et de l’Assemblée parlementaire du Conseil de l’Europe concernant l’enseignement de l’histoire.

Le but du présent rapport était d’obtenir des retours d’information de la part des Etats membres sur l’utilisation du livre électronique. L’équipe éditoriale, les experts intervenants et les participants au projet Histoires partagées ont éprouvé la nécessité de faire le point de la situation, d’avoir une vision cohérente des activités de diffusion et de procéder à une analyse des retours d’information obtenus.
