The Committee of Independent Experts, first of the four bodies responsible for supervising the implementation of the European Social Charter, examines the national reports of the Contracting Parties and adopts on this basis conclusions in which it indicates if it considers that during the period of report, each of the Contracting Parties has conformed to provisions included in the report.
The first part of Conclusions contains conclusions of the Committee referring to reports of Denmark, Greece, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom on application of Articles of the European Social Charter for the period 1986/1987. The second part of the Conclusions comprises an assessment of the position of each Contracting Party having reported during cycle XI-1, as well as a table showing the provisions of the Charter as accepted by the Contracting States is appended.
