Child labour has long been outlawed by national legislation and international treaties. Children, however, remain vulnerable to the realities of family and economic life.
This study sets out to explore the situation in the member states. It examines the attitudes to children working, the legislative framework, the forms of child work and the consequences for children on their health, schooling, family, leisure and future career.
