This publication explores the subject of bullying in schools: it sets out the situations in which this form of violence flourishes and looks at different ways of tackling the problem, from the formulation of national policies to the response of individual teachers and schools. The inter-dependant roles of pupils, parents and teachers are discussed, with concrete examples of sucessfull prevention mesures. This book seeks to provide positive solutions to this troubling phenomenon and encourgae tolerance in a spirit of mutual respect which goes beyond the playground.
